🎒 The "One Bag, Zero Hassle" System
I know. The idea of going on a trip to Thailand with just one bag might sound insane. But what if I told you it's not only possible, but also the absolute best way to experience Thailand? I have been traveling with only a backpack for years, even if I am on the road for 60 days.
It’s giving me freedom: no waiting for luggage, zipping through airports and train stations, hopping on a motorbike taxi or a boat, and feeling light as I explore the country.
This isn't about saving baggage fees; it's about saving your sanity and making your trip smoother. Here’s my tried-and-true One-Bag Packing System for Thailand:
The best marketing ideas come from marketers who live it.
That’s what this newsletter delivers.
The Marketing Millennials is a look inside what’s working right now for other marketers. No theory. No fluff. Just real insights and ideas you can actually use—from marketers who’ve been there, done that, and are sharing the playbook.
Every newsletter is written by Daniel Murray, a marketer obsessed with what goes into great marketing. Expect fresh takes, hot topics, and the kind of stuff you’ll want to steal for your next campaign.
Because marketing shouldn’t feel like guesswork. And you shouldn’t have to dig for the good stuff.
1. The Bag Itself: Forget the monster checked luggage. You need a 40-45 liter travel backpack. Think something designed for carry-on limits, with good organization and comfortable straps. This is your command center. Check out my budget recommendation.
2. Clothing: This is what I pack.
2 pairs of underwear
2 sport shorts (with zippered pockets)
2 pairs of socks
2 sport shirts
2 Hawaiian shirts
1 pair of swim trunks
+ the clothes I wear on travel day
3. Footwear: Comfort is King: You'll be doing a lot of walking.
Wear 1 pair of comfortable sneakers on travel day: For longer walks or if you prefer more support.
Hotels will give you slippers for the pool area. If you need, buy cheap flip-flops in Thailand
Don't wait until New Years to take control of your health.
Tempted to wait until January to start getting healthy? Maybe you just need something that is ACTUALLY easy to stick with.

4. Toiletries & Medical: Not needed. 7-Eleven & Pharmacies have everything.
5. Tech & Documents: Keep these easily accessible.
Smartphone & charger: Self explanatory.
Portable power bank: A lifesaver for long days out.
Universal voltage converter: Thailand uses Type A, B, and C outlets, but the voltage is different (220V).
Digital copies of passport, visa, bookings: Store them on your phone and email them to yourself. A physical copy of your passport (separate from the original) is a good idea too.

💡 How do I manage to travel with so little?
Because Thailand has cheap, fast laundry everywhere
Laundry shops in front of almost every hotel
30-100 baht/kg ($1-3) standard rate
Pay a little more → ready in 8h instead of 24h
Example: Drop in morning, pick up in afternoon
Hotel laundry? One T-shirt often costs 100 baht (!)
And if I really need something new, buy it for a dollar or two.
This system works because it forces you to prioritize and embrace the simplicity of travel. Plus: Do you see how much space is still in the backpack? For example, for souvenirs…
