10K Steps Is a Myth–Try This Instead

When motivation is lacking, jumping into heavy routines is the fastest way to burn out. That’s why millions of people are turning to walking as the foundation of their fitness journey.

Walking lets you enjoy the outdoors, clear your head, and practice mindfulness. It’s simple, sustainable, and can support lasting weight loss if you know how much you need. The “10,000 steps a day” rule is outdated; everyone’s lifestyle is different.

With Simple, you’ll get access to habit-based coaching that’s helped users lose over 18 million pounds. Take the quiz to discover your personalized walking target.

🇹🇭 Hello, welcome!

Take a look inside kaa. Here's what I have for you today:

Phuket has had this to itself since August 2023.

A floating beach club anchored half a mile offshore. Infinity pool overhanging the water. Shuttle boat in, shuttle boat out, DJ, 360-degree view. It's called YONA*. Markets itself as the world's first. For three years nobody in Asia copied it.

Pattaya never got the version. Pattaya got go-go bars and a beach you wouldn't swim in.

That ends tomorrow (June 6).

Sina Beach Club* opens off Pattaya. Shuttle from Bali Hai Pier every 15 minutes starting 13:30. Includes the boat ride, 8 hours on board, food and drink credit, a 25-meter infinity pool (3 meters longer than YONA's, for the record), and a welcome drink.

Sina Beach

Two modes:

Morning package, family-friendly, live singer, off the boat by 14:00.

Afternoon package, 21+, DJ, dinner, last shuttle back at 21:30.

It's anchored, not sailing. No seasickness. No weather cancellations. You leave whenever, just tell the hostess and a speedboat comes for you.

Sina Beach

Two bits of fine print before you book:

Dress code is smart casual. Tank tops or gym shorts get turned away at the pier. Don't show up in flip flops and board shorts straight from Walking Street.

Food menu prices are sane, not beach-club gouging. Lobster Thermidor 950 baht. Wagyu sushi roll 680. Belgian fries 280. You'll actually eat instead of nursing one $40 cocktail and pretending you're full.

Bottom line: if you were planning a Phuket detour just for the floating beach club concept, you don't need it anymore. Same idea, same price point, 90 minutes from Bangkok instead of an hour on a domestic flight plus a transfer.

I bet, your Ploy will love it.

Now, Pattaya is the whole package. But Sina is just one move.

There are more daytime activities almost nobody talks about, because the city's reputation does all the marketing for them. Walking Street, Soi 6, LK Metro, repeat. Most first-timers never look past those three blocks, then go home thinking that was the city.

It wasn't.

I cover the rest in the Pattaya Blueprint, my 2-hour walkthrough of how to actually use the city for 3-5 days. Where to base, what's worth your time and money, what order to do it in. Sina goes straight on the daytime list, but it's one of many.

If Pattaya's on your bucket list and you want the full layout before you land, not just the nightlife shortlist, here's where to grab the Blueprint:
