Hello, welcome! Take a look inside kaa. Here's what I have for you today:

  • The biggest favour you can do yourself.

  • The benefits of being a VIP for a few moments.

  • How and where to experience this.

First three times I landed in Bangkok, I made the same rookie mistake.

I walked off the plane. 12 hours of flying behind me. Exhausted. Excited. Thailand finally happening.

Then I turned the corner and saw the immigration line.

It snaked through the entire hall. Hundreds of people. Mostly from my flight plus three others that landed around the same time.

I stood there for 73 minutes.

Sweating. Watching the clock.

By minute 60, I was convinced my checked bag had been stolen (that was before I switched to carry-on only).

By the time I finally got through, I was so frustrated that I overpaid for a taxi to finally have some comfort.

Not exactly the start I had imagined.

Here's the thing nobody told me:

There's a separate immigration line at Bangkok airport. A VIP lane. Where the first-class passengers run through.

And for some extra bucks, any tourist can use it too.

The magic solution: You book a "fast track" service before you land. When you step off the plane, a greeter is waiting with your name on a sign. They walk you to the train that connects the satellite terminal and the main terminal. They walk you straight to the priority lane, help you grab your bags, and escort you through customs. They assist you on your way to the taxi/grab or the Airport Rail Link. Lovely.

Total time from plane to leaving the airport? About 15-20 minutes. Instead of 90-120.

I've used it on every Thailand trip since.

Moral of the story is:

The first hour of your trip sets the tone for everything after.

Start stressed, sweaty, and confused? You'll be playing catch-up all week.

Start confident, fast, and handled? You walk into Bangkok like you've done this ten times before.

That's the energy your vacation deserves.

Now, how does this apply to you?

If you're planning your first Thailand trip, this is one of those "insider moves" that separates the tourists who fumble through from the ones who seem to glide.

It works at Bangkok's main airport (Suvarnabhumi) and at Phuket too.

Like coffee. Just smarter. (And funnier.)

Think of this as a mental power-up.

Here's what I recommend:

Both include a personal greeter, priority immigration lane, and baggage assistance.

Book it before you fly. Show up. Look for your name. Show passport and voucher (app) Done.
